Kratos Ultra Training Videos

These training videos were made by Ellen Yan a graduate student GLA for the Kratos Ultra XPS in 2020 during the pandemic. They are an introduuction to the procedures for using the MMRC Kratos Ultra XPS. They need to be used in conjunction with the Kratos User Manuals and the locale manuals for Loading and Unloading XPS Samples and Data Collection Quick Start . The manuals and videos must be read and watched before one will be trained on using the instrument. For the Kratos User Manual the new user should read Chapters: 2, 3.14–3.15, 4 (skip 4.6), chapter 5 (if you plan to do sputtering), and chapter 7. They maybe hard to understand before one watches the training videos. You need to be using a Caltech IP number to view the Kratos User Manual. For data analysis most CasaXPS is used. There are gneral CasaXPS tutorials and manuals here.
